Position Title:  Clinical Support Assistant (2 positions)

Position Summary:  Full-time positions responsible for supporting clinical operations at Rocking Horse Community Health Center. The primary responsibilities of these position include ensuring all incoming telephone calls are answered in a courteous, friendly and efficient manner, and routing or scheduling the caller appropriately; and/or greeting patients at the front desk; directing them appropriately; performing check-in and check-out for patients using practice management computer system; collecting accurate information and entering data; verifying insurance and collecting co-pays; using various office machines; maintaining electronic health records (EHR) and charts; general filing either by hand or electronically, including scanning of documents to EHR system; and performing other duties as assigned.

Position Title:  Staff Nurse (2 positions)

Primary Service Center:  Madison County Office, London, OH

Work Hours:  Full-time, 36-40 hours per week, evenings and weekends may be required

Position Summary:  The nurse represents the care team and coordinates patient centered care.  Providing nursing care within the relevant legal scope of practice as directed by the physicians and nurse practitioners, the Nurse provides support by assisting with procedures, obtaining patient history, verifying med reconciliation, phlebotomy, vaccine administration, medication administration, telephone triage, appointment scheduling, and other general office duties.  The Nurse also explains procedures and treatments to patients in a manner that elicits cooperation and understanding and allays apprehension; initiates patient education as prescribed by the physician or nurse practitioner; and coordinates ancillary care for pediatric patients. The Nurse and is responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care and HIPAA compliance, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:  Must be licensed in the State of Ohio as RN or LPN.

Position Title:  Medical Assistant (2 positions)

Primary Service Center:  Madison County Office, London, OH

Work Hours:  One full-time, 36-40 hours per week, One part-time, 20-24 hours per week. Some evenings and Saturdays may be required.

Position Summary: Responsible for assisting with patient centered care at Rocking Horse Center. Performs a variety of routine duties assist medical and clinical staff in the examination and treatment of patients to include:  completing prior authorizations obtaining and recording data for medical records, taking medical histories and recording vital signs; explaining treatment procedures to patients; preparing patients for examinations and procedures; assisting the physician during the examination and procedures; perform basic laboratory tests on the premises and dispose of contaminated supplies; sterilize medical instruments; promote patient/family understanding of the educational content and his/her involvement in the plan of care, and document in patient record;  prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician; authorize drug refills as directed; telephone prescriptions to a pharmacy.

Requirements:  Certification of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assisting program required.

Position Title:  Patient Accounts Representative

Primary Service Center: Administrative (will require occasional travel to Madison office, London, OH)

Position Summary:  The Patient Accounts Representative verifies insurance, establishes payment plans for patients, contacts patients with outstanding balances, reviews ICD-9 and CPT codes for daily fee tickets, processes charge entry to patient accounts in computerized billing system, performs data entry related to billing and posting of payments, creates and mails insurance claims and patient statements, responds to patient billing and billing statement inquiries, makes recommendations to management for “write-offs,” performs other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:  Previous medical billing experience preferred.  Work requires the ability to accurately enter information into computerized billing system and the ability to function in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility toward new concepts.

Position Title:  Outreach and Enrollment Specialist

Primary Service Center: Madison County Office, London, OH          (90% Madison Office, 10% Springfield Office)

Position Summary:  The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist is a full time position responsible for outreach and education of current health center patients and other residents of the RHC service area regarding their health insurance options.  

The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist conducts “in reach” activities with current health center patients and “outreach” to non-patients in RHC’s service area to provide education to individuals to create or enhance understanding and access to affordable health insurance programs/exchanges; facilitates the enrollment process for existing and new RHC patients in collaboration with in-house Medicaid Eligibility Specialists; provides education to health center staff at all sites regarding insurance options so that they can assist in educating their patients/clients; provides education to community partners and collaborates and coordinates outreach efforts with them; and represents RHC at health fairs and other events to provide education regarding health insurance coverage.

The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist increases access to care though application and enrollment assistance for those who may be eligible for insurance programs and exchanges created pursuant to the Affordable Care Act.  The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist is responsible for streamlining the process to determine eligibility for financial assistance for the qualified health plans or Medicaid.  

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in human services or other related field, or equivalent work experience.

Position Title:  Development Assistant

Primary Service Center: Administrative (this position will split time evenly between the Springfield and Madison - London, OH - locations)

Position Summary:  The Development Assistant is responsible for assisting the Development department with daily tasks to ensure effective and efficient operations.  Responsibilities include recording development transactions, correspondence with donors, assisting with special/fundraising events, assisting with volunteer coordination, assistance with community relations and health fair projects, assistance in maintaining the RHCHC website, and other duties as assigned.  and receptionist related responsibilities.

Requirements:  High school diploma or GED required.  Associates Degree (or higher) or one to three years’ experience in fundraising, special events, marketing, customer service, volunteer engagement, development data base management, website maintenance  and social media implementation preferred.

Position Title:  Quality Assurance Assistant

Primary Service Center: Administrative Offices (occasional travel to Madison Office, London, OH)

Work Hours:  Full time 40 hours per week.

Position Description: The Quality Assurance Assistant assists the Quality Assurance Coordinator in all aspects of administering the quality assurance/improvement program.  The QA Assistant  assists in the administration and evaluation of the organization’s performance as it relates to UDS/HRSA Quality Measures, infection control, patient satisfaction surveys, quality improvement projects, Joint Commission standards compliance, peer reviews, incident/medication error reporting, MSDS compliance, and staff training and competencies.  The QA Assistant assists the QA Coordinator  with risk and safety management, policy review, committee meetings, FTCA redeeming applications, data extraction for grants/projects, new employee orientation and provider support. 

Requirements: High School Diploma/GED required.  Experience in healthcare data management, and working with spreadsheet and database software strongly preferred. Two years of experience in a clinical and/or quality setting preferred.
