Position Title:  Staff Nurse (2 positions)

Primary Service Center:  Madison County Office, London, OH

Work Hours:  Full-time, 36-40 hours per week, evenings and weekends may be required

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Summary:  The nurse represents the care team and coordinates patient centered care.  Providing nursing care within the relevant legal scope of practice as directed by the physicians and nurse practitioners, the Nurse provides support by assisting with procedures, obtaining patient history, verifying med reconciliation, phlebotomy, vaccine administration, medication administration, telephone triage, appointment scheduling, and other general office duties.  The Nurse also explains procedures and treatments to patients in a manner that elicits cooperation and understanding and allays apprehension; initiates patient education as prescribed by the physician or nurse practitioner; and coordinates ancillary care for pediatric patients. The Nurse and is responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care and HIPAA compliance, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:  Must be licensed in the State of Ohio as RN or LPN.

Work Hours:  One full-time, 36-40 hours per week, One part-time, 20-24 hours per week. Some evenings and Saturdays may be required.

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Summary: Responsible for assisting with patient centered care at Rocking Horse Center. Performs a variety of routine duties assist medical and clinical staff in the examination and treatment of patients to include:  completing prior authorizations obtaining and recording data for medical records, taking medical histories and recording vital signs; explaining treatment procedures to patients; preparing patients for examinations and procedures; assisting the physician during the examination and procedures; perform basic laboratory tests on the premises and dispose of contaminated supplies; sterilize medical instruments; promote patient/family understanding of the educational content and his/her involvement in the plan of care, and document in patient record;  prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician; authorize drug refills as directed; telephone prescriptions to a pharmacy.

Requirements:  Certification of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assisting program required.

Position Title:  Quality Assurance Assistant

Primary Service Center: Administrative Offices (occasional travel to Madison Office, London, OH)

Work Hours:  Full time 40 hours per week.

Position Description: The Quality Assurance Assistant assists the Quality Assurance Coordinator in all aspects of administering the quality assurance/improvement program.  The QA Assistant assists in the administration and evaluation of the organization’s performance as it relates to UDS/HRSA Quality Measures, infection control, patient satisfaction surveys, quality improvement projects, Joint Commission standards compliance, peer reviews, incident/medication error reporting, MSDS compliance, and staff training and competencies.  The QA Assistant assists the QA Coordinator  with risk and safety management, policy review, committee meetings, FTCA redeeming applications, data extraction for grants/projects, new employee orientation and provider support. 

 

Requirements: High School Diploma/GED required.  Experience in healthcare data management, and working with spreadsheet and database software strongly preferred. Two years of experience in a clinical and/or quality setting preferred.

Position Title:  Medicaid Eligibility Specialist

Primary Service Center: Pediatric Medical Home

Work Hours:  Full time 40 hours per week.

Position Summary:  Full-time position responsible for assisting patients and other community members with Medicaid Eligibility.  This position is responsible for performing the following duties such as intake of information, processing re-determination and intake applications for Medicaid eligibility, assisting families with enrollment and assist with reducing barriers to access of the Medicaid program, educating families about the Medicaid program and other DJFS programs, assisting Rocking Horse Center with verifying coverage for patients. The position may also be required to become familiar with Marketplace Exchange and assist Outreach and Enrollment Specialists and program, as needed; and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:  Working knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL spreadsheet functions and WORD; willing to learn other types of computerized applications; ability to work in a team environment and while maintaining good working relationships with co-workers and patients; able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.  Previous experience working with eligibility applications preferred.

Position Title:  Maintenance Person

Primary Service Center:  Organization Wide

Work Hours:  Part-time, 20 - 24 hours per week.

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Summary:  The Maintenance Person performs a wide variety of general and semi-skilled maintenance activities under the general supervision of the Director of Operations.  Performs minor and moderate repair of all buildings and equipment;  preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; cleans and inspects HVAC equipment; performs minor and moderate repairs of windows, doors, door locks, floors, walls and ceilings; completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment, maintenance procedures; performs minor electrical and plumbing repairs; assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures; may operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems; may install computer cable; serves as RHC’s point person when outside contractors are present for more extensive maintenance; performs exterior maintenance duties such as snow removal and grounds maintenance; obtains estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed; coordinates contractors for major repairs; orders and maintains operational supplies and performs inventory; performs minor interior and exterior cleaning; assembles furniture and equipment; installs system component parts, office equipment and facility components; maintains vehicles in proper working order; responds to emergency maintenance requests as needed; performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements:  Experience operating equipment used in skilled trades, power and hand tools is required.  Must adhere to safety practices, properly handle hazardous materials, and plan and manage projects. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
