Rocking Horse Center is hiring for the following provider positions:

       Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician (Adult Medical Home)

       Family Nurse Practitioner (Pediatric Medical Home)

       Behavioral Health Therapist (LISW/LPCC - Pediatric Behavioral Health Home)

Position Title:  Maintenance Person
Primary Service Center:  Organization Wide
Work Hours:  Part-time, 20-24 hours per week.
FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Summary: The Maintenance Person performs a wide variety of general and semi-skilled maintenance activities under the general supervision of the Director of Operations.  Performs minor and moderate repair of all buildings and equipment;  completes preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; cleans and inspects HVAC equipment; performs minor and moderate repairs of windows, doors, door locks, floors, walls and ceilings; completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment, maintenance procedures; performs minor electrical and plumbing repairs; assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures; may operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems; may install computer cable; serves as RHC’s point person when outside contractors are present for more extensive maintenance; performs exterior maintenance duties such as snow removal and grounds maintenance; obtains estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed; coordinates contractors for major repairs; orders and maintains operational supplies and performs inventory; performs minor interior and exterior cleaning; assembles furniture and equipment; installs system component parts, office equipment and facility components; maintains vehicles in proper working order; responds to emergency maintenance requests as needed; performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements:  Experience operating equipment used in skilled trades, power and hand tools is required.  Must adhere to safety practices, properly handle hazardous materials, and plan and manage projects. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Position Title:  E H R Specialist
Primary Service Center:  Organization Wide
Work Hours:  Full-time, 40 hours per week, some evenings, weekends and off-hours may be required.
FLSA Status:  Exempt (Salaried)

Position Summary:  The EHR Specialist plays a key role in maintenance and enhancement of our EHR system by providing technical expertise and ongoing training and support for staff using the EHR.  The EHR Specialist provides the RHC team with support for all facets of the maintenance of the EHR software, taking leadership of different areas as needed and as directed by the Director of Operations; Utilizes project management abilities to help lead and coordinate implementation of new system functionality, upgrades, and EHR-related clinical processes; facilitates content development and implementation; develops and implements organization wide initial and ongoing training for efficient and effective use of the EHR system.  The EHR specialist will also perform data quality monitoring; manage other system interfaces; assist in report generation to monitor and improve clinical outcomes and providing other custom reports; coordinate system licensure and billing contracts for the system; participates in purchasing decisions related to the system; participate in organization wide performance improvement plans; and perform other duties as assigned.    


Requirements:  Associates or higher degree preferred or equivalent experience.   Highly qualified candidates will have project management experience/skills, EHR implementation or maintenance experience, and/or experience in quality improvement or information systems in a community health center.

Position Title:  Medical Biller or Certified Coder

Primary Service Center: Administrative

Work Hours:  Full time, 40 hours per week. 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Summary:  The Biller/Certified Coder verifies insurance, establishes payment plans for patients, contacts patients with outstanding balances, reviews ICD-9 and CPT codes for daily fee tickets, processes charge entry to patient accounts in computerized billing system, performs data entry related to billing and posting of payments, creates and mails insurance claims and patient statements, responds to patient billing and billing statement inquiries, makes recommendations to management for “write-offs,” performs other duties as assigned. If a Certified Coder, reviews patient medical records and assigns codes to diagnoses and procedures performed so the facility can bill insurance and other third-party payers. 

Requirements:  Medical billing experience required.  Certification as a Medical Biller/Coder strongly preferred.  Work requires the ability to accurately enter information into computerized billing system and the ability to function in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility toward new concepts.
