Job Opportunity #0090 – CEO – Search Extended

Position Title:  Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Primary Service Center: Administrative Offices
Work Hours:  Full-time, 40 hours per week.  

Job Function:        The Chief Executive Officer leads the development and growth of Rocking Horse Community Health Center (RHCHC) based on the mission, vision and values defined by the Board of Directors.  The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for operating within the overall strategic direction set forth by the Board of Directors by developing effective business strategies to guide others toward the accomplishment of identified objectives and goals.

Position Summary:  The CEO is directly responsible to the Board of Directors and provides support to the Board and the Board Committees. The CEO develops short and long range plans that are appropriate and effective in meeting Rocking Horse Center’s strategic goals.  The CEO identifies and implements cost containment and/or revenue generating ideas within Rocking Horse Center’s programs and services; is responsible for the overall financial management and viability of the Center; and develops an annual business plan and budget based on the RHC mission, vision, values and strategic direction. The CEO has overall responsibility for financial management; operations; development and fund-raising; marketing and public relations; management information systems; and administration of human resources.   Practically, these duties are accomplished through the guidance and supervision of the Directors of the appropriate areas. The CEO serves as the leader of the RHCHC Leadership Team, provides guidance and direction to each member, and also provides leadership to various internal committees, The CEO maintains and applies knowledge of current and possible future health care policies, practices, trends and information affecting Rocking Horse Center.

Requirements:  The minimum educational requirement for the position is a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Non-Profit Management or related field.  Master’s Degree preferred.  Minimum of five (5) years experience serving in progressively responsible administrative positions required, preferably in a health care environment. Current or eventual residency in Clark County, Ohio strongly preferred.  Skill requirements for this position include the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public, and the ability to develop and maintain partnerships with other health care and social service organizations in order to enhance patient care.  The duties of this position are performed within the mission, vision and values, as defined by the RHCHC Board of Directors.

Position Summary:  Full-time position responsible for assisting with patient centered care at Rocking Horse Center. Performs a variety of routine duties assist behavioral health medical and clinical staff in the examination and treatment of patients to include:  completing prior authorizations obtaining and recording data for medical records, taking medical histories and recording vital signs; explaining treatment procedures to patients; preparing patients for examinations and procedures; assisting the physician during the examination and procedures; perform basic laboratory tests on the premises and dispose of contaminated supplies; sterilize medical instruments; promote patient/family understanding of the educational content and his/her involvement in the plan of care, and document in patient record;  prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician; authorize drug refills as directed; telephone prescriptions to a pharmacy.

Requirements:  Certification of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assisting program required.

Develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans with patients in a medical setting. Performs diagnostic assessments to obtain biopsychosocial history. Plans and administers therapeutic treatment interventions to meet individual patient needs. Changes method and degree of therapy when indicated by patient reactions. Discusses progress toward goals with patient. Utilizes outcome measures to assess with patient the progress toward treatment goals. Consults with the primary care team or treating psychiatrist and other specialists concerning treatment plans and amend plans as directed. Conducts family counseling and education. Participates in formal and informal clinical supervision sessions. Refers patients to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling. Knows and adheres to all policies and procedures that pertain to the job position. Performs other job responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:  Master’s Degree (M.A.) with two years related experience working with families and children.  Independent licensure such as LISW or LPCC strongly preferred.  Experience/interest in working with children on the Autism spectrum strongly preferred.

Position Summary:  The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the Director of Human Resources; and provides support to employees of Rocking Horse Center in all personnel related matters, while maintain confidentiality and employee confidence. The HR Assistant provides administrative assistance for various HR functions including hiring, orientation, benefits enrollment, employee record maintenance and review and other office related clerical and administrative duties.

Requirements:  The HR Assistant must demonstrate an outgoing, positive attitude; focus and attention to detail; and understanding of the importance of organization and accuracy.  Additionally, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are critical for the job, as the HR assistant works closely with all employees and job applicants. The ability to maintain the highest standard of confidentiality is also essential.  A high school diploma or GED is required.  Previous experience as an HR Assistant or Administrative Assistant is preferred.

Position Title:  Staff Nurse

Position Summary:  The nurse represents the care team and coordinates patient centered care.  Providing nursing care within the relevant legal scope of practice as directed by the physicians and nurse practitioners, the Nurse provides support by assisting with procedures, obtaining patient history, verifying med reconciliation, phlebotomy, vaccine administration, medication administration, telephone triage, appointment scheduling, and other general office duties.  The Nurse also explains procedures and treatments to patients in a manner that elicits cooperation and understanding and allays apprehension; initiates patient education as prescribed by the physician or nurse practitioner; and coordinates ancillary care for pediatric patients. The Nurse and is responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care and HIPAA compliance, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:  Must be licensed in the State of Ohio as an RN.  Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
