Hannah Berns is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Rocking Horse Community Health Center, who started working for the Center in October of 2018. Hannah is from Middletown, Ohio and has gotten degrees from both Miami University and Wright State University. Before she joined the RHCHC team, Hannah was an art teacher and counselor for four years at a summer program in Massachusetts for 7th-12th graders with emotional and behavioral difficulties. She also worked as an assistant teacher in Cincinnati for children with ADHD and autism. She enjoys working with children of all ages and has a particular interest in helping trauma survivors. She enjoys integrating a combination of principals into treatment including art, mindfulness, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and play therapy. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, houseplants, and ceramics. Her favorite part about working at RHCHC is our ability to collaborate with people from other fields in order to provide individuals with holistic treatment.
