Deanna Markesteyn

Deanna Markesteyn joined the Rocking Horse Community Health Center team as a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2018. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh where she graduated with Honors and her Master’s Degree from Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock Pennsylvania, where she was selected by her professors as the top student in her program. Deanna worked in Pittsburgh as an addiction counselor before continuing her work with addiction in Dayton, Ohio. Currently, Deanna works with  adolescents and adults at Rocking Horse Community Health Center’s multiple locations. She practices a Client Centered Therapy, allowing for the unique background and challenges of each client to drive her therapeutic interventions. Her approach includes the belief that everyone, regardless of challenges or past history, deserves the right of peace of mind and hope for the future. Deanna helps each client to recognize and utilize their strengths to attain the life they deserve, while providing them with the tools to meet life head on and attain their goals.
